Atli Heimir Sveinsson

Atli Heimir Sveinsson was a prominent Icelandic composer known for his rich and diverse contributions to classical and contemporary music. Born in 1938, he studied in Germany and the Netherlands and became a central figure in Iceland’s music scene from the latter half of the 20th century. His works span orchestral, chamber, vocal, and electronic music, often blending traditional Icelandic motifs with avant-garde techniques.
