Tuấn Cry, born Nguyễn Sĩ Tuấn in 1992 in Yên Phong, Bắc Ninh, Vietnam, is a rising figure in the Vietnamese alternative hip hop scene, known for blending traditional Vietnamese cultural elements with modern hip hop and trap beats. His life story is compelling—losing his father before birth and growing up in a humble family, Tuấn Cry initially worked various jobs before a viral Facebook livestream singing a song in his native Northern accent catapulted him to overnight fame in 2018. Despite early challenges, including family opposition and multiple setbacks, he pursued music passionately, eventually moving to Hanoi to launch his professional career. His music often reflects his roots, incorporating Northern Vietnamese folk instruments and themes, as showcased in his notable work on the song "Bắc Bling" alongside singer Hòa Minzy and comedian Xuân Hinh.
