Evan Anstey

Evan Anstey is a versatile musician from Western New York, known for his eclectic blend of alternative-folk, bluegrass, and rock influences. Born and raised north of Buffalo, New York, Anstey's musical journey began with the violin, later expanding to other stringed instruments like guitar, mandolin, and electric bass. His songwriting career has led to several notable releases, including his debut EP "Recent Time" in 2016, followed by "We Will Be at Peace" in 2018, "The Weekend Preacher" in 2020, and more recently, "Things Changed" in 2023. Anstey has also been involved in various bands and collaborations, showcasing his talent across different genres.

As a performer, Evan Anstey is part of several bands, including "Evan Anstey & the Old Ways," where he combines folk and bluegrass elements, and the progressive alt-rock band "Meat Raffle." He has shared the stage with notable musicians and has been a sideman for artists like Darryl Tonemah. Anstey holds a degree from Houghton University, where he studied communication and music. He continues to reside in Western New York, actively contributing to the local music scene.
