Los Miticos Del Ritmo

Los Miticos Del Ritmo is an instrumental cumbia band formed by British musician and producer Will Holland, also known as Quantic. Debuting with an eponymous album in 2012, the group is known for its unique blend of vintage Colombian styles such as cumbia and porro with modern electronic and alternative influences, a fusion they coined as "Doombia." Their standout characteristic lies in their use of the accordion, a traditional focal point in cumbia music, which adds a nostalgic yet fresh sound to their tracks.

The band gained critical acclaim with their innovative covers of global hits, translating contemporary songs into their distinctive style, as exemplified in their renditions like "Hotline Bling," originally by Drake. Their music also consists of original compositions that pay homage to the rich Colombian heritage while maintaining a playful modern edge. Los Miticos Del Ritmo performs an adventurous dialog between tradition and modernity, captured in releases such as "Hip Hop En Cumbia EP" and tracks like "El Mezcalero" and "Salvación," showcasing their continuous evolution while staying true to the roots of cumbia music.
