Omar Santana is a U.S. American producer and DJ, primarily known for his contributions to Hardcore Techno and Breaks, which he often refers to as "Hardhop." He began his career in the early 1980s in New York City, initially gaining recognition as part of the Dynamic Rockers crew. Santana collaborated with influential figures like Arthur Baker and worked with notable labels such as Tommy Boy and Sleeping Bag Records. He also gained fame for editing and remixing tracks for artists like Public Enemy, Janet Jackson, Simply Red, Quincy Jones, and The Rolling Stones, earning him the title of one of the "Editing Kings."
Santana founded H2OH Recordings and later Tricked Out Recordings, both labels specializing in harder styles of electronic music. His work spans genres including Breakbeat, Hip-Hop, Techno, and Gabber.
