Barbro Margareta Svensson, known professionally as Lill-Babs, was a Swedish singer, actress, and television presenter. Born in Järvsö, Sweden, in 1938, she began her career as a teenager in the 1950s and went on to become one of the most popular and beloved entertainers in Sweden. Lill-Babs was known for her powerful voice, energetic stage presence, and warm personality. She represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest twice, in 1961 and 1973, and had numerous hit songs throughout her career, including "Be-bop-a-lula," "Är du kär i mig ännu, Klas-Göran?," and "Jag är så glad." Lill-Babs also starred in several films and television shows and was a popular host of the Swedish music program "Hylands hörna." She passed away in 2018 at the age of 80.
