Good Riddance

Good Riddance are a punk band from Santa Cruz, California, best known for their fast, melodic hardcore sound and socially and politically charged lyrics. They formed in the mid-1990s and became closely associated with the Fat Wreck Chords scene, releasing a run of records that helped define late ’90s/early 2000s melodic punk.

Over the years, the band’s lineup has shifted, but vocalist Russ Rankin has been the consistent core, and their catalog includes well-known albums like *For God and Country*, *Ballads from the Revolution*, and *Symptoms of a Leveling Spirit*, along with later releases such as *My Republic* and *Peace in Our Time*. They broke up in the late 2000s, then reunited in the 2010s and continued releasing music and playing shows.
