The Illustrious Blacks are a New York City-based musical duo, consisting of Manchildblack and Monstah Black, who are known for their uniquely vibrant fusion of Afro-electro, disco, space punk, and house music. Described as “neo-Afro-futuristic-psychedelic-surrealistic-hippies on a mission to save the world, one beat at a time,” they blend energetic DJ sets with performance art, fashion, and dance, creating an experience that’s as visually dazzling as it is musically infectious.
