Mádé Kuti

Mádé Kuti is a Nigerian musician and multi-instrumentalist who continues the legacy of the legendary Kuti family. The grandson of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti and son of activist and musician Femi Kuti, Mádé carries forward the family’s powerful blend of music and political consciousness. His sound fuses traditional Afrobeat rhythms with modern influences, creating a fresh yet rooted take on the genre. Trained in music composition and performance, Mádé brings a refined, inventive touch to his work while staying true to the socially conscious spirit of his heritage.

In 2021, Mádé made a strong debut with the album Legacy+, a joint release with his father, Femi Kuti. His portion of the project, titled For(e)ward, showcases his forward-thinking approach to Afrobeat and includes tracks like “Free Your Mind” and “Your Enemy.” Since then, he's continued to develop his voice as a solo artist, releasing tracks like “No More Wars” and “Stand Tall,” and making waves with his dynamic live performances. Passionate about using music as a tool for change, Mádé Kuti is one of the exciting new voices in contemporary African music.
