Formed in 2004, the band—fronted by Johnny Cooke (vocals/guitar) and featuring Luciano Vargas (guitar), Rikki Meek (bass), and Rich Mitchell (drums)—made waves with their debut album *Turn Against This Land* (2005), blending gritty social commentary with catchy, anthemic hooks. They followed up with *Tall Stories From Under the Table* (2007), showcasing their knack for storytelling and raucous live energy, and *We Are the Dogs* (2009), which doubled down on their rebellious spirit. Known for relentless touring and supporting acts like The View and The Rifles, Dogs carved out a reputation as a no-frills, working-class rock band before disbanding in 2010.
