Jens Ulvsand is a seasoned Swedish musician and composer, born in 1955 in Uppsala. He is a versatile instrumentalist known for his skills on guitar and bouzouki, with a career spanning from the mid-1980s primarily in folk and world music scenes. Ulvsand studied jazz improvisation at the Malmö Academy of Music and has lived in various places in Sweden, settling in a nature-surrounded village near Lund, which suits his interests beyond music, like ornithology and gardening. Over the years, he has toured extensively across Europe, North America, Australia, Africa, and more, performing with numerous bands and projects such as Little Big Band, Afro Tiambo, Ulvsand Hjetland, and Trio Mio. He is also known for engaging in children’s music education through numerous school performances and songwriting projects.
