Hippo Campus

Hippo Campus is an indie rock band hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota, known for their catchy melodies, intricate guitar work, and reflective lyrics. Formed in 2013, the band consists of Jake Luppen (vocals/guitar), Nathan Stocker (guitar/vocals), Zach Sutton (bass), and Whistler Allen (drums/vocals). They quickly earned a following with their vibrant live performances and their debut EP, "Bashful Creatures," which was released in 2014. Hippo Campus further solidified their place in the indie music scene with their subsequent albums, "Landmark" (2017) and "Bambi" (2018), which showcased their growth in songwriting and production.

With an ever-evolving sound that spans upbeat pop anthems to introspective ballads, Hippo Campus continues to push the boundaries of their genre. Their album "LP3" signals a maturation in their music, weaving themes of personal growth, love, and the pains of coming of age. With a series of compelling EPs and singles, such as "Good Dog, Bad Dream" and "Bad Dream Baby," and through the constant experimentation shown in projects like "Demos II," Hippo Campus demonstrates a restless creative spirit. Their music resonates with a generation navigating the complexities of modern life, cementing their role as torchbearers for a new era of indie rock.
