Formed in the early 2000s (sources vary between 2004 and 2005), Slowtorch hails from Bolzano, Italy, and has steadily built their reputation as a force of heavy, riff-driven rock with a stoner metal edge. The current lineup, stable since 2012, features Matteo Meloni on vocals, Bruno Bassi on guitars, Karl Sandner on bass, and Fabio Sforza on drums. Slowtorch is known for their powerful live shows and no-nonsense approach to heavy music, sharing stages with acts like Orange Goblin, Volbeat, and Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons across Europe.
