Ville Valo

Ville Valo is a Finnish singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the frontman and lead vocalist of the gothic rock band HIM. Born in Helsinki in 1976, Valo formed HIM (originally His Infernal Majesty) in 1991. The band became internationally famous for their unique blend of metal, goth, and love themes, which Valo dubbed "love metal."

Throughout his career with HIM, Valo penned numerous hit songs including "Join Me in Death" and "Wings of a Butterfly." Known for his deep, melodic voice and poetic lyrics, Valo became a prominent figure in the rock music scene. After HIM disbanded in 2017, Valo embarked on a solo career, continuing to create music that resonates with his signature style.
