Santos Inzaurralde was a Uruguayan poet, politician, and songwriter born on June 5, 1925, in Minas, Uruguay. He made his mark in both the literary and musical worlds of Uruguay. Inzaurralde co-created the Festival Minas y Abril with Santiago Chalar, and the two collaborated on several musical projects. Some of his well-known works include "Minas y Abril" and "Pida Patrón". In addition to his artistic endeavors, Inzaurralde was active in politics, serving as a councilor and deputy for Lavalleja with the National Party. He passed away on March 1, 2013, in his hometown of Minas.
