Andrei Gologan

Andrei Gologan is a renowned Romanian pianist known for his poetic and thought-provoking performances. Born into a non-musical family, he began playing the piano at the age of five and won his first competition just six months later. He continued his musical training in Romania and later at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he graduated with honors under the tutelage of Pavel Gililov in 2020. Gologan has won several awards in international piano competitions, including the Horowitz International Piano Competition in Kyiv and the Lions European Music Competition in Istanbul. He has performed with prominent orchestras such as the Camerata Salzburg and the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, and has appeared at notable venues like the Wigmore Hall in London and the Berlin Philharmonie.

Andrei Gologan is also a sought-after chamber musician and has recently joined the Amatis Trio as their new pianist. He is admired for his interpretive depth and musicality, having worked with mentors such as Sir András Schiff and Daniel Barenboim. His recent releases include a CD featuring Brahms' works, recorded on a C. Bechstein concert grand piano. Gologan has earned recognition for his unique approach to classical music, blending traditional techniques with innovative perspectives. He is set to perform at several upcoming festivals, including a reinvitation to the Enescu Festival in Bucharest.
