Dodgy

Dodgy is a British rock band hailing from the early 1990s Britpop scene. Formed in 1990 in Hounslow, London, the group originally consisted of Nigel Clark (vocals and bass), Andy Miller (guitar), and Mathew Priest (drums). They gained recognition for their melodic rock tunes and lively performances, which captured the spirit of their era. Known for hits such as "Staying Out for the Summer" and "Good Enough," Dodgy was part of the wave of British bands that enjoyed success both at home and abroad.

Throughout their career, Dodgy has been praised for their knack for crafting catchy hooks and choruses, alongside insightful lyrics. With a discography that includes "The Dodgy Album" (1993), "Homegrown" (1994), and the commercially successful "Free Peace Sweet" (1996), their influence was solidified in the 90s Britpop canon. After an initial disbanding in 1998, members pursued separate projects until a reunion in 2007 with the original lineup. Their return to the studio led to albums such as "Stand Upright in a Cool Place" (2012) and "What Are We Fighting For" (2016), demonstrating their enduring appeal and ability to resonate with both old fans and new listeners. With the release of singles like "Staying Out for the Summer '19," Dodgy continues to celebrate their legacy while embracing the changing landscape of the music industry.
