Virgin in Veil is a Helsinki-based deathrock band known for their brooding atmosphere, infectious post-punk riffs, and a gothic aesthetic that hearkens back to the genre's golden age in the early 1980s. Formed in 2015 by vocalist Jacques Saph (Saphir), bassist Suzi Sabotage (Susan), guitarist William Freyermuth (William), and drummer Rudy Soininen (Rudy), the band quickly gained attention in the underground goth and post-punk scenes with their energetic live performances and raw, unapologetic sound.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Christian Death, Virgin in Veil debuted with their “Demo” in 2015, which established their dark, yet danceable sonic identity. This initial release was followed by their first full-length album “Deviances” in 2016, showcasing a band that was not afraid to explore themes of sexuality, religion, and death through their music. They built upon their sound with each subsequent release, including "Twisted Thrills" and "Permanent Funeral," growing a loyal international fanbase attracted to their darkly poetic lyrics and undeniably catchy hooks. The band's work embodies an air of mystique and rebellion, cementing Virgin in Veil's place in the modern goth rock pantheon, with "The Glory Hole" further solidifying their provocative and envelope-pushing reputation within the genre.
