Bell Orchestre

Bell Orchestre is a Canadian instrumental ensemble with a distinctive blend of classical, electronic, and post-rock influences. Formed in 2005, the group is made up of accomplished musicians, including members from the Grammy-winning indie rock band Arcade Fire. The band is known for its focus on richly textured, expansive soundscapes that evoke a range of emotions and images for listeners. Their work often features a variety of instruments including strings, brass, electronic elements, and percussion, creating a unique sound that defies easy categorization.

With its roots in Montreal, Quebec, Bell Orchestre comprises Richard Reed Parry (bass, guitar, and other instruments), Sarah Neufeld (violin), Pietro Amato (horn), Kaveh Nabatian (trumpet), Michael Feuerstack (lap steel guitar), and Stefan Schneider (drums). The ensemble garnered critical acclaim early on with their debut album "Recording a Tape the Colour of the Light" and the Juno Award-winning second album "As Seen Through Windows". Their music is characterized by a sense of exploration and improvisation, and their performances are often regarded as transportive experiences. Releases like "House Music" and "As Seen Through Windows (Special Edition)" showcase their continued evolution as a dynamic and innovative force within the realm of contemporary music.
