The Shadow Project

The Shadow Project is an English electro rock band formed in Felixstowe, Suffolk, in 2003. The band's original lineup includes Tom Askew on guitars, Stephen Hurley on drums, Simon McCarthy on guitars, and Ben Wright handling bass and electronics. They gained recognition with their debut album *A Beauty To Fight For*, released in 2007, which received critical acclaim and was praised by BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens. The album's success led to a European tour, but the band split shortly after due to internal conflicts. They reformed in 2011 and have since continued to create music, blending elements of indie, electronica, post-rock, and ambient sounds.

The band's music is characterized by its cinematic soundscapes, incorporating vocoders, glitching, drum machines, and heavy effects processing. Influenced by artists like Radiohead and Daft Punk, The Shadow Project's sound is expansive and intriguing.
