Liu Fang

Liu Fang is a virtuoso of the pipa, the Chinese lute, renowned for her profound musicianship and the depth of emotion she conveys through her instrument. Born in 1974 in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province in China, Liu Fang began studying the pipa at the tender age of six. Fang's mastery of the instrument granted her a scholarship to study at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music where she further honed her skills.
