Azusa Plane

Azusa Plane was the experimental music project of guitarist Jason DiEmilio, which operated from 1995 to 2001. Embodying the ethos of the American space rock and drone music scenes, Azusa Plane carved out a niche with its hypnotic blend of feedback-laden guitar improvisations and ambient soundscapes. DiEmilio was known for his ability to transform the electric guitar into a source of otherworldly textures, often making it sound unrecognizable through the use of various effect pedals and unconventional playing techniques.

Azusa Plane's discography is a testament to DiEmilio's prolific output and dedication to his craft, with numerous singles, EPs, and compilations highlighting his exploratory nature. Albums like "Where the Sands Turn to Gold" collect some of the finest moments in his recording career, giving listeners a panoramic view of his extensive work. "Result Dies with the Worker" further showcases the artist's thematic depth, while his whimsical side is evident with the release of "Jacques Offenbach's Opera Efforts." Although the Azusa Plane project ceased with DiEmilio's untimely passing in 2006, the music remains a significant touchstone within the experimental and psychedelic music communities, continuing to inspire with its expansive sonic journeys.
