Skik is a Dutch band that originates from the province of Drenthe, characterized by their blend of rock, country, and folk with lyrics predominantly written in the Drenthe dialect. Formed in 1994, the band's name translates to 'fun' or 'enjoyment' in Drenthe dialect, which encapsulates the essence of their music. The founding members are frontman and songwriter Daniël Lohues (vocals, guitar), Marco Geerdink (guitar), Marlen Davers (bass), and Marico Fritz (drums).
