Henri Bonamy is a multifaceted musician, known as both a pianist and a conductor. He is recognized for his extraordinary musicality and poetic sensitivity, which have led to performances in major European cities and festivals, such as the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival and the International George Enescu Festival in Bucharest. Bonamy gained prestigious awards, including the Bavarian EON Cultural Award and numerous prizes at international piano competitions like the Concours international de Genève and the Alessandro Casagrande in Italy. He studied at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris and later under Dmitri Bashkirov at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid, furthering his education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
As a conductor, Henri Bonamy is the artistic director of the Isartal Philharmonic Orchestra since 2019. He has conducted other notable ensembles such as the Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. His collaborations include chamber music performances with famous musicians, including Julia Fischer and Daniel Müller-Schott. Bonamy also taught as a university piano professor in Busan and Seoul before joining the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich.
