Alesana

Alesana is an American post-hardcore band formed in October 2004 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Known for their theatrical approach to music, the group initially gained popularity for their narrative-driven album concepts and energetic live performances. The band's lineup consists of Shawn Milke, Dennis Lee, Patrick Thompson, Jeremy Bryan, Shane Crump, and Jake Campbell, although the lineup has evolved over the years. Alesana's style is characterized by a mixture of screaming, well-crafted melodies, and a heavy reliance on storytelling.

The band's discography is notable for its concept albums, with "The Emptiness" (2010), "A Place Where The Sun Is Silent" (2011), and "Confessions" (2015) forming a trilogy based on the works of poet Edgar Allan Poe and the stories surrounding a fictional character named Annabel. These albums showcase Alesana's unique ability to blend intense screamo elements with a strong sense of narrative and musicianship. "The Lost Chapters" (2018) is an EP that continues the band's tradition of thematic storytelling through its lyrics and composition. With a strong and passionate fanbase, Alesana has carved out a niche for themselves, maintaining a consistent presence in the scene through high-energy performances and an evolving mythos that captivates their audience.
