The Moons
The Moons are a British indie rock outfit hailing from Northampton, known for their sun-drenched retro sound that mixes 60s psychedelia with modern indie swagger. Formed in 2008 around singer-songwriter Andy Crofts (who's also collaborated with Paul Weller), the band crafts melodic earworms featuring jangly guitars, swirling organs, and lyrics about love, loss, and late-night adventures. Their catalog spans from their 2010 debut "Life on Earth" to 2020's synth-kissed "Pocket Melodies," with recent releases like "Stand With Me" and "Live at Bush Hall" showing their knack for both studio polish and live energy. While lineup changes have occurred over the years, their consistent output of psych-pop gems keeps them a cult favorite among fans of British guitar music that nods to the past while staying rooted in the present.
