Kirill Kozlovski is a Finnish-Belarusian pianist, harpsichordist, and researcher known for his versatility and thoughtful approach to music across a wide range of styles and eras. Born in Mogilev, Belarus, in 1981, he studied piano at the Belarusian State Academy of Music, the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He also pursued baroque music and harpsichord studies at Novia University of Applied Sciences and the Sibelius Academy, earning a doctorate in music in 2017 for his research on Dmitri Shostakovich.
Kozlovski has built a reputation as both a soloist and chamber musician, performing at festivals and concert halls throughout Europe and collaborating with renowned conductors and singers. He’s released several acclaimed recordings, including the complete piano music of Yuri Shaporin, Wagner songs with Jenni Lättilä and Tommi Hakala, and the two-volume set of Toivo Kuula’s complete solo songs with Jenni Lättilä. His solo album Shostakovich in Context blends Shostakovich’s preludes and fugues with Finnish contemporary music. Kozlovski is also a lecturer at the Sibelius Academy, sharing his passion for music with the next generation of performers.
