Sylver

Sylver is a Belgian vocal trance group which first took the music scene by storm in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Featuring lead vocalist Silvy De Bie, alongside keyboardist/songwriter Wout Van Dessel, and initially Regi Penxten, the trio captivated audiences with Silvy's ethereal voice and their blend of electronic beats and emotive melodies. They first made a splash with their debut single "Turn the Tide" in 2000, which became an international hit and set the tone for their dance-meets-pop sound.

Over the years, Sylver has maintained a strong presence on the dance music front, showcasing their ability to evolve while staying true to their trance and Eurodance roots. With a multitude of hits like "Skin," "Forgiven," and "Lay All Your Love On Me," they have built a loyal fan base across Europe and beyond. The band's more recent releases, such as "Losing My Religion"—a cover of R.E.M.'s classic, given a dance music twist—and an acoustic version of the same track demonstrate their versatility and willingness to explore different musical territories. With albums like "Crossroads" and "Nighttime Calls," they continued to solidify their standing, offering a mix of thumping dance tracks and introspective ballads. “Turn The Tide Revisited” pays homage to the single that first brought them acclaim, while continuing to engage listeners with fresh sounds and poignant lyrics. Sylver's enduring appeal is a testament to their catchy melodies, polished production, and the emotive power of De Bie's vocals, which continue to win hearts years after their initial chart success.
