Tengger Cavalry

Tengger Cavalry, which translates to "the army of the sky god", is an innovative musical ensemble that has captivated audiences worldwide with their unique blend of heavy metal and traditional Mongolian folk music. Founded in 2010 by frontman and songwriter Nature Ganganbaigal, the band is known for its incorporation of traditional instruments such as the Morin khuur (horsehead fiddle) and Mongolian throat singing alongside electric guitars and pounding drums. The band's name is inspired by the ancient Mongol and Turkic warriors, the Tengger, reflecting both the cultural influence and the robust, martial spirit that infuses their music.

Earning a dedicated following through albums like "Cian Bi", "Die on My Ride", and the more recent "Northern Memory" volumes, Tengger Cavalry fuses the storied past with the present, creating a sound that's both fresh and rooted in heritage. Lyrically, the band explores themes of war, nature, and personal struggle, all the while paying homage to their nomadic cultural lineage. Despite the tragic passing of Nature Ganganbaigal in 2019, Tengger Cavalry's music remains a testament to his artistic vision, combining fiercely modern metal with the soulful, expansive melodies of Central Asia.
