Khold is a Norwegian black metal band with a reputation for delivering cold, raw, and groove-infused music within the extreme metal scene. Formed in 2000 by drummer Sarke (real name Sarke Norberg) and vocalist/guitarist Gard (real name Geir Mikael Reiten), also known for their involvement in the band Tulus, Khold swiftly made a name for themselves with their stark and unrelenting sound. The band's aesthetic is characterized by a blend of traditional black metal elements with a distinctly rhythmical and mid-paced approach, somewhat diverging from the genre's penchant for breakneck speeds.

The band's discography, notably featuring albums such as "Masterpiss of Pain" (2001), their debut that carved their niche within the metal community, and "Phantom" (2002), which further established their grim and direct style, has continued to expand over the years. Their successive albums, including "Morke Gravers Kammer" (2004) and "Krek" (2005), solidified their reputation for maintaining a consistent and uncompromising sound. Notably, after a hiatus following their 2008 album "Hundre År Gammal," Khold returned to the scene with the much-awaited "Til Endes," released in 2014, which saw the band once again embracing their signature blend of black metal with creative riffs and tight rhythm sections.
