Blaine L. Reininger

Blaine L. Reininger is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work as a founding member of the post-punk band Tuxedomoon. Born on July 10, 1953, in Pueblo, Colorado, Reininger has had a diverse career spanning multiple genres, including new wave and alternative pop. He initially co-founded Tuxedomoon with Steven Brown in 1977 and appeared on several of their early albums before leaving the band in 1983 to pursue a solo career. Reininger rejoined Tuxedomoon in 1988 and has since contributed to numerous albums and projects.

Reininger's solo work is marked by a blend of electronic and classical influences, with notable albums such as *Broken Fingers* (1982), *Night Air* (1983), and *Songs from the Rain Palace* (1990). He has also collaborated with various artists, including the Durutti Column and Mikel Rouse. In recent years, Reininger has continued to release music, including albums like *The Blue Sleep* (2018), *Commissions* (2013), and *Wounds and Blessings* (2021). His career has also expanded into film and theatre, with roles in several productions and soundtrack commissions.
