Manisha Murali Nair

Manisha Murali Nair is an Indian singer specializing in Rabindrasangeet, the songs composed by Rabindranath Tagore. She often performs and records as a duo with her brother Manoj Murali Nair. Though originally from Kerala, Manisha grew up in Shantiniketan, West Bengal, where her father taught Kathakali dance at Visva-Bharati University. This upbringing immersed her in Bengali culture and Tagore's works from a young age. Manisha and Manoj have released multiple albums of Rabindrasangeet together since the early 2000s, gaining recognition for their interpretations of Tagore's songs despite not being Bengali themselves.
