Overhate

Overhate is a thrash/groove metal band from Caracas, Venezuela, formed in 2003. The band consists of Giancarlo Vettor on guitar and vocals, Erick Machado on guitar, Humberto Ortega on bass, and Joseph Ortiz on drums. Overhate started their journey during a resurgence in the thrash metal scene and has since developed a unique sound that combines elements of industrial and raw thrash metal. Their debut album, "God in a Trench," was released in 2007 and focuses on anti-war themes. The band followed up with "Relentless Is Our Strength" in 2011, showcasing technical improvement and a hybrid sound that sets them apart from traditional thrash metal.

Overhate's music often explores themes of war and society, reflecting their societal context and personal experiences. With their energetic and powerful live performances, the band has gained recognition not only in Venezuela but also internationally, having toured and shared stages with notable acts like Rotting Christ. Overhate continues to be an active part of the metal scene, contributing to its evolution with their innovative style.
