Celtic Fiddle Festival

Celtic Fiddle Festival is a collaborative musical project that embodies the rich traditions of Celtic violin playing, bringing together some of the genre's most renowned fiddlers from different parts of the Celtic world. The group was originally founded by Scottish fiddle legend Johnny Cunningham, Irish virtuoso Kevin Burke, and Breton fiddling star Christian Lemaître in 1993, with the aim of celebrating the violin in its various regional forms. Over the years, they've enraptured audiences with a blend of fiery technique, poignant melodies, and cultural authenticity.

Their discography, showcasing releases such as "Storm in a Teapot" and "Live in Brittany," weaves a diverse tapestry of Celtic sounds, highlighting individual artistry while harmonizing distinct traditions. The "Équinoxe" album mirrors the transitional beauty of its namesake, the equinox, marking a time of harmonic balance—a fitting metaphor for the group's synthesis of styles.
