Rani Hazarika

Rani Hazarika is a celebrated Indian playback singer and musician from Guwahati, Assam, known for her versatile voice and extensive repertoire that spans over 1000 songs in multiple languages including Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Kashmiri, and several South Asian languages. She began performing at the tender age of three and started formal training in Indian classical music at six under the guidance of her father, Rose Hazarika, and other professional mentors. Rani gained nationwide recognition as a contestant on Indian Idol Season 3 and has since become a prominent figure in both Bollywood playback singing and regional music scenes.

Beyond her singing career, Rani Hazarika and her husband founded Jammu and Kashmir’s first international music label, AR Music Studios, which has produced numerous popular tracks and music videos, especially focusing on Kashmiri music and culture. Known for blending traditional folk styles with contemporary sounds, she has brought regional music like Assamese Bihu and Kashmiri folk to wider audiences with songs such as “Bihu Re 2.0” and “Salam E Wazwane.” Rani is also an advocate for encouraging young talent in Kashmir’s music industry and continues to work as a composer and live performer with a growing international presence.
