John Congleton and the Nighty Nite

John Congleton and the Nighty Nite is a musical project led by Grammy-winning producer, engineer, and musician John Congleton. The group's debut full-length album, "Until the Horror Goes," was released on March 4, 2016, through Fat Possum Records. This album marked a return to music creation for Congleton after a period of focusing primarily on production work with notable artists like St. Vincent and Modest Mouse. "Until the Horror Goes" is characterized by its dark, existential themes and a blend of genres, including elements of horror-gospel and a mix of high art with low culture.

John Congleton is also known for his earlier work as the frontman of the alternative rock band The Paper Chase, which he founded in 1998. Following his work with The Paper Chase, he began the Nighty Nite project, continuing his exploration of unique sounds and themes. The project's music, as seen in tracks like "Until It Goes," reflects Congleton's desire to explore challenging and unconventional artistic expressions.
