Jars of Clay is an American Christian rock band that formed in Greenville, Illinois, in 1993. The band's original lineup consisted of Dan Haseltine on vocals, Charlie Lowell on keyboards and piano, Stephen Mason on lead guitars, and Matthew Odmark on rhythm guitars. Known for their melodic and acoustically driven alternative sound, Jars of Clay gained widespread acclaim with their self-titled debut album in 1995, which featured their hit single "Flood."
