Marit Tøndel Bodsberg, often referred to with the additional surname Weyde, is a renowned Norwegian conductor, flutist, and singer. Born in 1981 in Byneset, Trøndelag, Norway, she has a strong educational background in music, including a BA from the Music Conservatory of Kristiansand and a Master's degree in conducting from the Norwegian Academy of Music. She is celebrated for her work with several prominent Norwegian choirs and ensembles, such as Det Norske Solistkor and the Women's Choral Society of the University of Oslo (KSS), where she has been the principal conductor since 2009. Marit has led her choirs to numerous national and international victories, including the European Choir Games and the Grand Prix of Nations.
Her recent work includes conducting albums like "Som Den Gylne Sol Frembryter" and "Kom Regn," which have received great reviews. Marit is also an educator, teaching conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music and participating in various music workshops and competitions.
