Stefan Rusconi

Stefan Rusconi is a Swiss pianist and composer born on February 14, 1979. He is known for his diverse musical endeavors, which span live music, film, dance, and art. Rusconi gained prominence as the leader of the Swiss jazz band Rusconi, which he formed with Claudio Strüby and Fabian Gisler in 2004. The band released several albums, including *Stop & Go*, *It's a Sonic Life*, *Revolution*, and *History Sugar Dream*, showcasing a blend of free rock, noise, and improvisational music. Rusconi also co-founded the experimental electronica duo Whistler & Hustler, releasing *The Whistler & Hustler Session* in 2013. After Rusconi disbanded in 2017, Stefan Rusconi continued to collaborate with various artists and projects, including composing music for dance pieces like *Until Our Hearts Stop* and working on innovative performances such as *LEVITATION*.

Rusconi's recent work includes *Solace* and *Levitation*, reflecting his ongoing exploration of innovative musical expressions. He has received several awards, including the Echo Jazz award for Best Pianist in Germany in 2011 and a cultural grant from the city of Zurich in 2013. Rusconi is currently based in Berlin, where he continues to compose and perform, pushing the boundaries of contemporary music.
