Geddy Lee

Geddy Lee, born Gary Lee Weinrib on July 29, 1953, in Willowdale, Toronto, Canada, is a celebrated musician and songwriter best recognized as the lead vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist for the legendary rock band Rush. With a distinctive high-register vocal range and virtuosic bass playing, Lee, alongside drummer Neil Peart and guitarist Alex Lifeson, formed the core of Rush, propelling the band to international fame with a career spanning four decades. Rush's complex compositions, progressive rock mastery, and Lee's lyrical contributions have enshrined them in the annals of rock history, earning legions of dedicated fans and numerous industry accolades, including their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

Beyond his tenure with Rush, Geddy Lee has also made his mark as a solo artist. His first and only to date solo album, "My Favorite Headache," was released in November 2000. The album showcases Lee's multifaceted musicianship, branching into territories beyond his work with Rush and demonstrating his eclectic influences and songwriting prowess. Recently, Lee has offered fans a glimpse into his creative process with "The Lost Demos," a collection of unreleased material associated with his solo project. Moreover, "My Headache (The Solo Interview)" sheds light on Lee's personal journey and the thoughts behind his music. Even as Rush's active career has wound down, Geddy Lee's artistic legacy continues to resonate with new and long-time listeners alike.
