Karl-Andreas Kolly

Karl-Andreas Kolly is a renowned Swiss pianist known for his extensive repertoire and exceptional talent. Born in 1965, he studied at the Music Academy in Zurich under Hans Schicker and participated in masterclasses with Karl Engel in Berne and Mieczyslaw Horszowski in Lucerne. Throughout his career, Kolly has performed as both a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and the USA. He has collaborated with prominent orchestras like the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and the Orquestra Sinfónica de Barcelona, showcasing his versatility in classical music.

Kolly's discography is impressive, featuring over 90 CDs that cover a broad range of works from Bach's "Goldberg Variations" to complete sets of Brahms' and Franck's piano trios with Trio Novanta. He is also a professor at the Zurich University of Arts and continues to give masterclasses internationally. His recent releases, such as "Schmidt: The Piano Album" and "Mendelssohn: Works for Clarinet and Piano," highlight his ongoing contributions to classical music.
