Mark Reeder is a British musician, producer, and remixer who has played a pivotal role in shaping electronic music across Europe, particularly in Berlin’s post-punk and techno scenes. Originally from Manchester, he moved to West Berlin in the late 1970s and immersed himself in the city's underground music culture. Reeder co-founded the influential synth-pop band Die Unbekannten and later worked as the German representative for Factory Records, helping to forge connections between UK artists and the Berlin music scene.
Over the decades, Reeder has become known for his impeccable remix work and nostalgic yet forward-thinking production style. He’s collaborated with a wide range of artists including New Order, Pet Shop Boys, and Booka Shade, while also releasing his own atmospheric and cinematic solo works. Whether he's reimagining 80s classics or composing for film, Reeder’s music combines a deep reverence for the past with a distinctive modern edge.
