Charlie Brown Jr.

Charlie Brown Jr. was a Brazilian rock band that became one of the country's most influential acts in the late '90s and 2000s. Formed in 1992 in Santos, São Paulo, the band blended a distinct mix of rock, punk, reggae, hip hop, and skate culture attitude, creating a sound that resonated strongly with Brazilian youth. Fronted by the charismatic and outspoken Chorão (Alexandre Magno Abrão), Charlie Brown Jr. developed a loyal fan base with hits like "Zóio de Lula," "Só os Loucos Sabem," and "Proibida Pra Mim (Grazon)."

Over the years, the band saw several lineup changes, but Chorão remained the heart and soul of the project until his untimely death in 2013. Known for raw, emotive lyrics that tackled themes like rebellion, love, society, and personal struggles, Charlie Brown Jr. left a lasting legacy in Brazilian rock. Their music still enjoys strong popularity, with live recordings and tributes continuing to celebrate the band's cultural impact.
