The Stone Coyotes are an American rock band formed in Massachusetts in the late 1990s. The trio consists of songwriter Barbara Keith on electric guitar and vocals, her husband Doug Tibbles on drums, and her stepson John Tibbles on bass. Known for their hard-hitting rock sound, the band has been described as blending "AC/DC's charging power chords with a country troubadour's literate observations." They gained wider recognition after being featured in Elmore Leonard's novel "Be Cool" and have released multiple albums since their 1998 debut "Church of the Falling Rain."
