The Kursk is a post-hardcore band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2014, the band consists of vocalist Brian McTernan, guitarists Matt Magargee and Ryan O'Keeffe, bassist Mike Bardzik, and drummer Nick Rowe. The Kursk's music is characterized by its heavy, aggressive sound, introspective lyrics, and soaring melodies. The band has released two full-length albums, "The Kursk" (2016) and "Disassociation" (2019), as well as several EPs and singles. The Kursk has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as Touché Amoré, The Menzingers, and Pianos Become the Teeth.
