Polar Bear Club

Polar Bear Club emerged from Rochester, New York, in the mid-2000s, carving out a niche for themselves in the post-hardcore and punk rock scene with their dynamic blend of melodic punk and emotionally charged post-hardcore. The band was formed by vocalist Jimmy Stadt, along with lead guitarist Chris Browne, rhythm guitarist Nate Morris, bassist Erik Henning, and drummer Emmett Menke. They quickly gained a reputation for their earnest, resonant lyrics and energetic live shows, endearing them to a growing fan base thirsty for their brand of hook-laden and heartfelt rock.

With a string of critically acclaimed releases, Polar Bear Club's discography captures the band's evolution and breadth. Their debut album, "Sometimes Things Just Disappear," released in 2008, laid a strong foundation for their sound. They followed up with the aggressive "Chasing Hamburg" in 2009 and further explored their melodic sensibilities without losing any edge on "Clash Battle Guilt Pride" in 2011. After the "Live At The Montage" album showcased their vivacious live performance, their final studio album before a hiatus, "Death Chorus," was released in 2013, further reinforcing their status as torchbearers in the modern punk landscape. Although the band has been less active in recent years, the impact of their passionate music continues to resonate with their fans and within the genre they helped shape.
