Gavsborg
Gavsborg is a Jamaican music producer and the founder of Equiknoxx/Equiknoxx Music, hailing from East Kingston. He has been producing music for over ten years, achieving initial success with Billboard-charting singles like "Step Out" by Busy Signal. Gavsborg's production style is characterized by its unconventional approach, allowing him to collaborate with a diverse range of artists. Beyond traditional Jamaican genres, Equiknoxx has ventured into experimental music, as seen in their debut album *Bird Sound Power*, released on the Demdike Stare label DDS in 2016. Gavsborg has toured extensively as a DJ and live performer, visiting various continents, including Europe, Australia, and Asia.
As part of Equiknoxx, he has worked with notable artists such as Beenie Man and T.O.K., while also exploring experimental sounds and collaborating on remixes for artists like Thom Yorke. Gavsborg's passion for music is deeply rooted in his community and local influences, contributing to the unique collective sound of Equiknoxx.
