The band was initially founded as a solo project by Pat Butler on "blink-182 day," with their first EP titled "Make America Punk Again." Over time, Skeptical Walrus evolved into a full-fledged band, featuring Pat Butler on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Nick Leon on lead guitar and vocals, Thomas Simmons on drums and vocals, and Patrick Lockett on bass guitar. They have been preparing to perform in the Richmond area and have released several tracks, including remastered versions of their early work.

Their music reflects a strong influence from the pop-punk genre, with a focus on energetic and catchy melodies. Tracks like "Blue Eyes," "A World Without You," and the remastered "Make America Punk Again" showcase their ability to craft engaging pop-punk songs. The band's creative process is supported by collaborations with local studios and artists, contributing to their distinctive sound.
