Paranoiacs

**The Paranoiacs** are a Belgian garage rock band formed in Bornem, Antwerp, in 1985. They are often referred to as the "Vlaamse Ramones" due to their energetic performances and style reminiscent of the Ramones. The band's lineup changed over the years, but the constant members were the brothers Hans and Raf Stevens. Known for their powerful live performances, The Paranoiacs gained a strong reputation in the Belgian music scene. Their music is characterized by catchy, high-energy garage rock, which fits well into the late 1980s and early 1990s garage-rock scene.

The Paranoiacs released several notable albums, including "Bananas" in 1989, produced by Thé Lau, and "Thirteen" in the late 1990s. One of their biggest hits from the 1989 era was the single "I've Been Waiting." The band also made a comeback in the late 1990s, signing with I Scream Records and releasing "7 Day Weekend" in 1999. In 2008, they participated in the Belgian preselections for the Eurovision Song Contest, reaching the final round. The Paranoiacs eventually disbanded in 2010. Despite not achieving mainstream success like some of their peers, they remain a beloved part of Belgian music history.
