Aneesa Strings is a multifaceted artist from Oakland, California, known for her expertise as a bassist, vocalist, and composer. Aneesa earned her Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California and later a Master's from Michigan State University. Her debut album, "A Shift in Paradigm," was released in 2014, featuring the single "Simpin," produced in collaboration with Patrice Rushen and SFJAZZ. Her sophomore album, "Ways," came out in 2019, showcasing a blend of R&B, soul, and jazz with funky bass lines and social commentary.
